Satara Massage

Satara Massage is a remedial massage clinic upstairs at the Beach House complex on Trinity Beach Road, serving Trinity Beach and the northern beaches of Cairns. The practice offers treatments for people dealing with muscle tension, joint immobility, soft-tissue injuries, headaches, neck tension, stress or simply tired, overworked muscles. Appointments are tailored to the individual, with remedial massage pressure adjusted to suit the client rather than following a single fixed approach.

The treatment list includes remedial massage, stress-relieving massage, myofascial cupping, aromatherapy massage, foot reflexology and Reiki energy treatment. The wider team also offers hot stone massage and dry needling. Remedial work may draw on techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep-tissue strokes and friction work, while relaxation treatments use gentler movements aimed at easing both physical tension and a busy mind. Aromatherapy appointments include a health questionnaire to check whether essential oils are appropriate, particularly for clients with sensitivities or allergies.

Satara Massage was established by Christine Goodall, a local therapist with more than 20 years of international experience. Christine holds a Diploma in Remedial Therapies and has worked across five countries in Africa and the Middle East, where she established massage clinics and, in Mozambique, helped train local therapists. The business takes its name from a favourite rest camp in South Africa’s Kruger National Park, reflecting the personal travel history behind the practice rather than a generic spa concept.

The clinic may suit solo clients looking for focused remedial work, recovery support or time to unwind, as well as people seeking a regular massage routine. It is located at Shop F7, 2–8 Trinity Beach Road; head upstairs in the Beach House complex and turn right at the top of the stairs. Remedial massage is available for health fund rebates, and gift vouchers can be purchased online. Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage is temporarily unavailable while therapists complete further training. Clients living with cancer or undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy should contact the clinic before booking, as the therapists are not trained in oncology massage and may require medical clearance in some circumstances.
