Rattle n Hum Cairns

Rattle n Hum Cairns is a bar and grill on The Esplanade, in the centre of Cairns City, with a menu built around generous pub-style meals and a relaxed, family-friendly setting. The venue has a large stone pizza oven for wood-fired pizzas, along with burgers, steak, chicken and fresh seafood from the grill. Pastas, salads and kids meals give groups plenty of choice, while takeaway pizzas and meals are also available when you would rather eat elsewhere.

The atmosphere is described as bustling but cosy, with friendly service and space to settle in for lunch, dinner or drinks. Its Al Fresco Terrace is available to walk-in diners every day, making it a practical option for visitors who want to stay close to the action on the Cairns Esplanade. Standard dining reservations are not accepted on the terrace unless they have been organised through the functions team.

The Great Northern Beer Garden is the standout function space, with greenery, festoon lighting, a retractable all-weather roof, its own bar, local and craft beer and wine taps, booth and long-table seating, a 150-inch projector screen, plus a stage and audio equipment. It can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated event or 150 for a cocktail-style function.

Rattle n Hum has been part of the Cairns Esplanade since 1997 and is also associated with venues in Port Douglas and Palm Cove. The Cairns location also lists live music, live sport, UFC and boxing among its events, adding to its appeal for an evening out with friends or a group. It trades from midday on weekdays and from 11.30am on weekends, with the kitchen and pizzeria closing earlier than the venue itself.
