Healing Waters Spa

Healing Waters Spa is a rainforest spa in Port Douglas, Cairns, set among lush gardens and designed as a quiet retreat from everyday activity. Its six cool treatment salons look towards the rainforest, with a dedicated couples’ room and a Vichy shower. There is also a lounge overlooking the Mossman River, giving guests somewhere to pause before or after a treatment and take in the surrounding Daintree landscape.

The treatment menu covers facials, massages, body rituals, hydration therapies and longer signature ceremonies. Options include the Healing Waters Massage, available as a relaxation treatment using light to medium pressure, the River Stone Massage with warm basalt stones, and the Forest Grounding Massage for more targeted muscle relief. The Mama Massage is designed for expectant mothers from the second trimester, while Soul to Sole combines hair, scalp, hand and foot care in one restorative ritual. Facials include Pure Radiance and Coast to Canopy, the latter using alkeme’s marine collagen range.

For a more immersive visit, the Daintree Dreaming ritual brings together a facial, full-body exfoliation, body wrap, scalp treatment and water therapy. The signature ceremonies take the experience further: Sacred Songlines combines a full-body massage and tailored facial, while alkeme Embrace and alkeme Rewild include face and hair treatments and finish with a warm herbal-infused mud bath. Couples can book selected ceremonies together, including alkeme Embrace for Couples, alkeme Rewild for Couples and Ulysses for Couples.

The spa’s approach is shaped by the idea that water in the Mossman River is a renewing, life-giving force, drawing on ancient Indigenous beliefs and the restorative qualities of nature. Treatments use plant botanicals and products from the Australian-made alkeme skincare range, created in small batches by Aphra Skye Heron and incorporating native botanicals and sustainably wild-sourced ingredients. Healing Waters Spa welcomes both Silky Oaks Lodge guests and non-resident visitors, making it suitable for a solo reset, a couples’ experience or a considered addition to a Port Douglas-area rainforest stay. Enhancements such as private forest bathing, a refreshing facial, hand or foot treatments can be added to eligible treatments of 60 minutes or more.
