Bistro Corretto brings European cooking to Trinity Beach with a tropical influence and a clear focus on quality produce. Ingredients are sourced through local suppliers, while the menu combines more traditional bistro-style choices with lighter, regionally influenced touches.

The sample menu moves from small plates and appetisers through handmade pasta, mains, sides and sweets. Options include crab toast with brioche and aioli, steak tartare, burrata with spicy nduja, duck stuffed pasta, fettuccine scampi and filet mignon au poivre. There are also rotating pasta, dessert and fish specials, with diners directed to Facebook or the restaurant for current updates. The menu includes dishes for a considered dinner rather than a quick café stop, with sides and desserts available to round out the meal.

Wine is a significant part of the experience. The Australian-focused list draws on selections from South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria, chosen with Cairns’ tropical climate in mind. The owners say each bottle is selected for its flavour, origin and production story, and that most dishes come with pairing recommendations. That makes Bistro Corretto a natural fit for diners who enjoy taking their time over food and wine, whether they are planning a dinner for two, a special occasion or an evening centred on the table.

The venue is run by husband-and-wife team Jakub and Tyna, who have made Cairns their home. Jakub leads the kitchen, bringing more than 20 years of experience and a background that includes Bar Carolina in Melbourne and Fugazzi Bar & Dining Room in Adelaide. Tyna curates the wine list and helps shape the hospitality side of the business. Their stated aim is a welcoming, refined bistro where food, wine and hospitality work together. Bistro Corretto welcomes enquiries about reservations and events; groups of seven or more are required to dine from a set menu. It is open Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm to 10pm, at 9/5-9 Rabaul Street, Trinity Beach.
